PAINTING

Lockdown Collection.

With the pandemic affecting so many Graham found the best way to deal with the lockdown was to dive into rediscovering things he’d long since avoided. One of those things was painting. Having been illustrating as his main practice in the last few years he wanted to take the opportunity to tackle subjects which lent themselves more to the abstract as well as touching on subjects more personal to himself and thus the lockdown series was born.

Whilst it seems everyone had a lockdown art project for Graham this was an exploration of absurd personal notions which he’d been avoiding such as his own isolation, comfort within a corporate system and general reflection of self.

Some of this series went on display at the St Pancreas Gallery in London as part of the “Fubar” absurd exhibition in 2021.
