This week in a very special podcast I sit down with Katy Taylor and Adie Trevelyan. Both local figures in the subcultures of Lincoln to discuss not only their passions and how subcultures have evolved and changed in the past 10 years or so, but also debrief on their recent experience of participating and coming runners up in the BBC Radio Lincolnshire “Be the one” Talent contest.

We talk fame, corporate media, reality TV, Northern soul, Steampunk and try to get to the bottom of how modern media connects with those more isolated; especially within Lincolnshire.

We ask if more can be done to support those out there trying to connect as well as if initiatives like “Be the one” hold value for people in the future. For more on Adie aka Dr Porridge find him at the link below https://www.facebook.com/Drcporridge/
